Lisbeth Greist, LPCA
I feel it is a huge step for individuals to ask for help. I welcome everyone where they are at without judgement. I have my Masters in Psychology and am currently in my second year of a Masters in Social Work program. I am a LPC-A.
I enjoy working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. With individuals being brave enough to reach out to ask for help, I am happy to work with anything that is being struggled with. Everyone is welcome, I am here to help individuals overcome their challenges.
I do not believe in a one size fits all approach, I believe a variety of approaches work best, furthermore setting goals and outcomes with the client is very important to me. The client is the reason I am there, I will let them guide me through the process and approach they are comfortable with. Tweaks can be made but we work as a team.
I provide a judge free zone where I look to help everyone who comes through my door, giving each person their own toolbox of strategies to help overcome obstacles they are going through. It is important to remember we are all in this together and by reaching out you take the first step forward.

You really are your greatest strength. I practice from a strengths-based approach and believe each individual has the ability to achieve the life they envision for themselves. As your therapist I am here to help you live a life with ease and to get out of living in survival mode. Together we will define a unique, individualized plan that meets you where you are. You can expect my practice to be grounded in compassion and empowerment with a holistic understanding.
I believe health and wellness encompasses mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Wellness is more than being free from struggle: it is a process of change and growth. Everything we feel and do relates to our well-being and directly affects our actions and emotions. I am here to help you with personal discovery and growth, exploring your emotions, navigating and coping with personal struggles to improve your quality of life.
I work with late adolescents, adults, and couples to address issues such as anxiety, infertility, self-image/self-esteem, depression, life transitions, school stressors, and relationship difficulties. I also specialize in substance use and supporting those who are struggling to cope with someone else’s substance use. I use a variety of evidence based therapeutic practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and more to help you make the change you want to see.
I earned my Masters in Social Work with a clinical focus from the University of Connecticut as well as a BA in Psychology with a concentration in mental health and substance use from Southern Connecticut State University.
My passions for achieving balance and holistic wellness is practiced through my own journey. I enjoy yoga, paddle boarding, hiking, snowboarding, kayaking, cooking, traveling and spending time with family, friends, and my 2-year-old Black Labrador named Nala.

I believe in providing clients with a safe space where they feel comfortable disclosing the truth behind what they are feeling, thinking and going through.
